The New York State Court of Appeals ruled, 4-3, that New York’s congressional maps should be drawn by the state’s Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC) and ordered the Commission to submit a new map “on the earliest possible date” but no later than February 28th. Read More

Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation, Chapter 678 of the Laws of 2023, the “Freelance Isn’t Free” Act, which provides protections, rights, and opportunities for recourse to freelance workers experiencing non-payment for their services. Read More
